DBZ Live Action Movie Rumors
Posted by: Nazmune - Friday, May 30, 2003 @ 4:50 PM ET
vozz writes: According to Saiyanz Rage, a source within 20th century fox has posted: FOX is shooting for a PG-13 rating and running time of 3 to 4 hours for the DBZ live action movie. They are hoping for the movie to be 4 movies instead of one big one, starting in the Saiyan Saga and ending in the Majin Buu saga. George Lucas' company is set to create the special effects. But due to some difficulties production of the film wont start until summer 2004. The movie will be released in late 2005.

At least it looks like they might be making the film(s). Now we have to hope that it won't be crappy like many other film adaptations.

Posted by: Jon - Thursday, May 22, 2003 @ 2:17 PM ET
Now, at the ZStore.com, you are able to purchase the new I-MEN mini figures from TOYNAMI. The new figures have 10 points of articulation and come with a collectible coin base. Also, you get two figures in one package, and one of those figures lights up like a super saiyan!

Mail Security
Posted by: Nazmune - Tuesday, May 20, 2003 @ 5:30 PM ET
Most hostee's will be able to email through their accounts but some features are disabled (they will be back when deemed to be secure). It seems we have a group of hackers on our shoulders trying to hack some sites hosted by us and many other sites in the anime community. I'm not gonna reveal any more details for security reasons. I do want to reassure everyone that the only thing they did was hack one poorly written script (with vulnerabilities) hosted by one site and use it to send tons of email.

Mail Hacking
Posted by: Nazmune - Monday, May 19, 2003 @ 1:03 PM ET
The server was offline because some cracker is using it to mailbomb people including my ISP. I am trying to locate the vulnerability right now... those who are wondering all are server software have been patched to the latest version including sendmail, openssl, and openssh. Those programs were known to have some vulnerabilities.

I'm not going to say how I'm going to try and find the cracker as it would be like giving him instructions on how to hide.

Bandai Launches Geneshaft Website
Posted by: Nazmune - Monday, May 5, 2003 @ 2:36 PM ET
The site has a trailer, story overview, and some other promotional material up on their site for their anime @ geneshaft.bandai-ent.com.

I looked at the trailer and in all honesty I didn't like what i saw. Some of the initial computer generated graphics in the trailer looked okay but it didn't blend in well with the 2d scenes. Also the characters seemed too emotionless to be realistic.

Who knows, it might even be slightly entertaining.

Another Delay For the New Site
Posted by: Nazmune - Saturday, May 3, 2003 @ 5:16 PM ET
I'm not liking how the forum integration is going at the moment. Mainly it's the forum software phpbb2 thats bothering me. I may go with vBulletin but that's an expensive decision.

Live-Action Dragonball Home Video?
Posted by: Nazmune - Saturday, May 3, 2003 @ 2:26 PM ET
Thats exactly what it is that we have here and it's actually pretty decent considering. Some of you guys might enjoy this video co-created by a new forum member blackjezus. Click here to view the forum thread with the videos in them as well as a link the makers home page.

The first two video's are a bit too unrefined but the fourth episode "Battle to the Limits" was a great improvement.

Server Issues
Posted by: Nazmune - Friday, May 2, 2003 @ 6:50 AM ET
Looks like our server had some hard drive corruption issues. I originally thought someone might have tried to hack but that doesn't seem to be it. We are trying to restore as much as we can from the old hard drive. So far it seems that most user files can be restored.

We will fix everything in this order:

Setup all programs/server apps not setup yet on server.
Restore all mysql databases.
Restore all paid customer hosting.
Restore all other hosting.
