The php backend is still in the alpha stages but it should be ready soon. | Gundam Seed 2 in 2004 |
|
Posted by: Nazmune - Sunday, July 20, 2003 @ 2:44 AM ET |
It may seem to soon to talk about a sequel of a TV series that has yet to be released in the U.S. but Gundam fans everywhere have a reason to celebrate. I've seen the first 40 of 52 episodes and it's shaping up to be an awesome.
There is less focus on philosophical discussions like in Wing (thank god!) but the show is primarily based on a conflict between genetically enhanced humans (called Coordinators) and everyone else with the main character in between. |

| Toriyama Shading In Budoukai |
|
Posted by: Nazmune - Thursday, July 10, 2003 @ 8:19 PM ET |
In an Anime News Networks story on Anime Expo 2003 I found an interesting statement by FUNi's Lance Heiskill. Here's what they had to say about it:
"Heiskell also mentioned that the Dragonball Z Budokai game would come out on August 15 with an effect called “Toriyama Shading” that would make the artwork look like the manga."
I'm assuming they mean Budoukai 2 in that statement. This is an interesting development but I really doubt we'll be confusing the simple 3d graphics in the game for the excellent black and white drawings of Manga. |
| DBZ Budoukai 2 Trailers |
|
Posted by: Nazmune - Tuesday, July 8, 2003 @ 12:36 AM ET |
Looks like FUNi has some new DBZ Budokai 2 trailers up at the official site. The trailers look awesome as before, maybe better then Budoukai this time. My primarily issue with Budokai was that although you could do some cool things with the game, the gameplay and controls were really poor.
In any case you can check out the trailers here. It's on the right side of the page. |

| FUNi Aquires Conan |
|
Posted by: Nazmune - Saturday, July 5, 2003 @ 8:33 PM ET |
FUNimation has just aquired a new anime, Conan. Home video will be out in 2004 and no Toonami release has been planned. Here's a press release by FUNi about the new show.
Today at 2:00 p.m. Pacific, in conjunction with a panel at Anime Expo 2003, FUNimation Productions, Ltd. announced that it has acquired the rights to mega-hit series from Japan, Detective Conan.
Detective Conan is the story about a detective named Shinichi Kudo. He is still in high school but he is a crime-solving genius. Shinichi's dream of becoming the best detective in the world takes a step in the wrong direction when a pair of villains unwittingly transform the teen back to his childhood size. Not wanting his best friend, Ran, to know the truth, Shinichi adopts the persona of Detective Conan, a pint-sized detective who must find a way to solve crimes the police can't seem to figure out all the while searching for clues to the men that put him in this form!
FUNimation has also acquired the rights to the first two Detective Conan movies "The Time Bombed Skyscraper" and "The Fourteenth Target." Home video release dates are tentatively scheduled for late Spring 2004. |
| Free Hosting Program Is Up |
|
Posted by: Nazmune - Saturday, July 5, 2003 @ 6:30 PM ET |
DBZN's free hosting referral area is up. To get free hosting you must have enough referrals to deduct from your current or future account. 50% of the revenue brought from any hostee you referrer will be deducted from your account. If you are currently paying $9.95 for the p500 account and you have referred two other P500 customers then you will be paying nothing ($5 dollars deducted per p500 customer). If you refer a P50 account (our smallest) you get $2.50 deducted as that is 50% of the fee rounded up to the nearest 1/10 of a dollar.
All you have to do is tell the person you are referring to place your domain in the referrer id area at the order form. |

Unfortunately thats just in the UK. But this may mean that a Toonami channel in the U.S. just might be closer to actually happening.

| Get Hosted For Free and Help The DBZN Survive |
|
Posted by: Nazmune - Thursday, July 3, 2003 @ 4:07 PM ET |
On Saturday we will be launching our webhosting referral program for current and future hosting customers which would allow them to get free hosting for life!
Each P500 customer you get would deduct $5 dollars from what you have to pay now. If you find two customers for the DBZN and are in the $9.95 P500 plan yourself then you get hosted for free as long as the hostee's you bring in stay.
We may launch a service like this for noncustomers in the future where you may be able to earn money. |
| Ninja Scroll TV Series Site Up |
|
Posted by: Nazmune - Thursday, July 3, 2003 @ 1:38 AM ET |
Urban Vision, the American distributors of Ninja Scroll and the new TV series based on it has recently launched the official site for the show.
I've seen the first episode of the series and so far it had a decent start but not great. The animation was slightly above average and the story is just getting started so I can't judgge the plot. |
