As the title suggests FUNi has aquired Burst Angel, A.K.A. Bakuretsu Tenshi, and the third OVA in the Tenchi Muyo Series. The following is a short summary of Burst Angel, which is provided by FUNimation.
In the crime-ridden reality of Japan's future, the government permits the population to police itself by allowing them to carry firearms. Despite heavy restrictions on the practice, Tokyo turns into a refuge for organized crime, thugs, and outlaws. Crime syndicates battle for power and control. Life becomes a desperate struggle for the citizens of Tokyo as the ever present threat of unceasing violence touches more lives each day.
But a group of misfits stand out against this bleak landscape. These four girls strike fear into the dark hearts of criminals and outlaws. Meet Jo, Meg, Sei, and Amy... Unknown mercenaries without an agenda, but in need of a cook.
Enter Kyohei, a peaceful culinary student with dreams of perfecting his trade in France. To raise money for the trip, he accepts a part-time job as cook for this strange group of women. Kyohei soon finds himself in hot water...and in the line of fire...when he learns that his beautiful young employers are actually violent mercenaries!
